I’d like to take this time to thank you and your staff past and present for taking such wonderful care for Lauren and Matthew for the last three years. My children have been safe, happy, and very well educated. They enjoy coming to school. The environment provided is exactly what every parent looks for. Lauren was very prepared for kindergarten and did exceptionally well. I am confident that Matthew is following her footsteps. The school’s summer program is wonderful, filled with educational and fun activities including fieldtrips every week. The option of offering extracurricular activities such as soccer shots, ballet, gym express (beginners gymnastics), piano and music classes on site is a great opportunity for the children and is convenient for parents (no need to drive anywhere else.)
Thanks again,
Ariane Urra (Matthew & Lauren’s Mom) |

Dear Parent(s),
"There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it."
-Edith Wharton
We love The Wonder Years! It's a learning center where the light of the children is strengthened by the loving reflection of the teachers and staff's caring efforts - a sunny environment that fosters learning and a positive social environment for our precious little ones.
When searching for a learning center - a second home where our son would reside, play, learn, and grow while we were at work, we did a lot of research and asked a lot of questions. We read all the books and listened carefully to the advice of seasoned parents/grandparents/friends/family members who all had an opinion of what was the most important quality in a school. We gathered all of that, plus our own ideas and interviewed directors, teachers, the parents of students at the school... We checked the curriculum, the processes, the cleanliness/amenities and overall atmosphere at each facility. And though we found other places that had certain aspects of what we were seeking, it is only The Wonder Years that encompasses all of what we wanted in a learning center for our baby.
Our first positive impression came from the prompt response we received when Ms. Cynthia, the school's director, personally returned my phone message inquiry within fifteen minutes, at almost seven in the evening on a Tuesday night. It was the first indication of her accessibility and responsiveness, and she has consistently proven her dedication and involvement in every respect. She - and her stellar team - always keep the children's healthy, safety, and best interests in mind. Though the school's policies and procedures are carefully delineated to ensure the most positive environment for all of the children, each of the children are carefully attended to as individuals and any concerns/problems are promptly addressed with the parent(s) by the teachers/the director and her team in a respectful and considerate manner. The constant open conversations between the parents and the teachers, the director, and the rest of the staff helps to keep everyone on the same page, working toward the same goals - the well-being, happiness, and education of our children.
The next major step was when we introduced our son, William, into this new social arena, on his first day at The Wonder Years. Of course it was a major change for him (and for us!), but the caring demeanor of his teacher, who quickly comforted him and welcomed him warmly to the class, let us breathe a sigh of relief. Though that first good-bye was understandably tearful (though I think I cried more than he did!) we were extremely pleased to see that by the end of the second day, he was perfectly content to continue playing when I arrived...and from that second week onward, he's been happy to go to 'school', where he learns and plays with his friends - and learns how to play and interact with his friends (important aspects of social interaction, including sharing, conflict resolution, independent play, etc.). Every teacher that has interacted with William has had the appropriate training, and their obvious delight at being with the children is a beacon of joy to William and the rest of the kids - as we all know how children can sense the sincerity of those emotions.
And now here we are, a year later, and as William has been carefully transitioned into his new class, we're still most impressed with The Wonder Years. The classes offer stimulating curriculum, with a solid balance of scheduled activities and free exploration, outside play and creative activities that involve learning in a fun manner. The classrooms are bright and beautifully decorated, with kid-sized amenities that foster independence, and all kinds of fascinating toys, books, and educational manipulatives that invite curiosity and development. The school even offers a summer program that is varied and interesting, with field trips and special events. Throughout the year, parents are always invited to remain involved and are consistently included in activities, always invited to pop by for an unplanned visit and/or to help participate in a learning activity.
As you can see, we can go on and on... We've endless great details to share about this magnificent place. It's a ray of light, a place of comfort, and the best 'second home' we could find for our precious boy at this stage of his life. We're very fortunate to have found it, and if you choose to enroll your child, you'll also be as happy as we are. Best of luck!
